Farm-to-table at a Tamanique finca
Local Dining & Drinks Experience
Enjoy sunset and a small tour at a beautiful Salvadoran owned and operated organic farm (finca), nestled on a hillside in the lush mountain region of Tamanique (around 30 minutes from Surf City and San Salvador). Followed by a delicious farm-to-table dinner, featuring traditional Salvadoran dishes — with an occasional twist — and locally-brewed drinks curated or prepared by Salvadoran mixologist brand, Simona Macerados. Our next public experience is:
Date: Thursday, April 10, 2025
Time: 5 pm to 8 pm
Cost: $60 USD without transportation / $75 USD with roundtrip transportation to/from Surf City
Includes: 1 welcome cocktail, a farm tour, 5-course meal and unlimited non-alcoholic beverages
Your Itinerary
5:00 pm:
- Arrive at the farm and enjoy a complimentary welcome drink — choice of: a custom cocktail featuring the Salvadoran liquor chaparro or a non-alcoholic, home-made fermented beverage.
- Go on a tour of the small, organic farm with the Salvadoran owner, as the sun sets.
6:00 pm:
- Enjoy a filling, five-course tasting menu of traditional Salvadoran dishes served by a local chef. (Vegetarian options are available).
- The meal can also be accompanied by an optional beer pairing for $15 cash, featuring curated selections from Salvadoran craft breweries. Or a bottle of wine for $30 cash. Water and soda are included and unlimited.
8:00 pm:
- The evening comes to an end, under the stars.
- If you have chosen the transportation option, you’ll be returned to your selected drop-off location in Surf City.
Note: This is a private, working farm — it’s a rustic environment, with basic facilities and no wifi, but a lot of heart and charm. Some walking and use of a few stairs will be necessary.
